Stay Connected with Your Grandparents at Plymouth Terrace During the Pandemic

Assisted Living Plymouth

Do you miss family? Do you crave social interaction? This pandemic has been hard on us all, especially for families who are used to being able to visit their loved ones on a regular basis here at Plymouth Terrace Senior Living.

You’re probably missing your grandparents just as much as they miss you. There are plenty of ways to keep in touch! Try these out:

  1. Schedule virtual visits with your loved one- Try Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Facetime with your senior loved one. They’ll appreciate seeing your smiling face even if it’s just through a screen.
  2. Call your loved one on the telephone- It can seem weird nowadays to not text someone but most grandparents will appreciate you taking the time to call and see how they’re doing.
  3. Play your favorite online games together- Many websites allow users to play their favorite card games or board games virtually. Give it a try on Arkadium.com.
  4. Communicate the old-fashioned way with a hand-written letter- Try having your family write a card or paint/color a drawing and mail it to your loved one.

Once it’s safe to do so, we’ll happily invite friends and family back to visit their family in person. However, for the safety of our residents, staff, and families, we encourage you to practice safe social distancing recommended by the CDC.
